9 Safari Nights in Arusha, Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Natron
Day 1 – Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airoport and transfer to Arusha city
Welcome to Tanzania! After your arrival at Kilimanjaro’s airport there will be the @Tanzania guide waiting for you to take you to Arusha where you will be able to rest in Hotel or simply have a small look around the City.
Day 2 – Arusha National Park
Let’s go to Arusha National Park! This day we’ll begin the photo-safari, visiting the local fauna and the typical landscapes of mountain-park, between mount Meru and Kilimanjaro, so much famous place for the presence of the white-monkeys of Colubus.
Day 3 – Safari in Tarangire National Park
The Park of the Tarangire takes the name from the river that crosses it, dividing it in half.It offers refreshment to all the animals of the area during the dry season. In this park we’ll get in the action of the photo-safari and we’ll able to immortalize on our devices the herds of the stately elephants, the African pythons (able to climb on the trees) and the gigantic baobabs.
Day 4 – Safari in Lake Manyara National Park
The safari continues with the tour of the Lake Manyara National Park, one of the tanzanian parks with the highest biodiversity. In a surface of only 330 kmqs, those 230 are occupied by the lake, is possible to meet five different ecosystems. The park is inhabited from over 380 types of birds and a big number of animal kind among which elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs and so many others. Prepare your photo-cameras!
Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater
Today the safari will be dedicated to the exploration of the Ngorogoro-crater and the surrounding area. In the morning we’ll have a short visit to Karatu village. The Ngorongoro crater is of one of the most suggestive landscapes to the world, where we can admire the dormant volcano and the nature that surrounds it. In the park it will be possible to see the “Big Five”: elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards and rhinos, but you you should pay attention that, around that area, there are like 30.000 animals and a great variety of birds-species.
Day 6 – Serengeti National Park
Today is the day of the Serengeti National Park! To reach it we will cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. During the trip we’ll able to proceed with the photo-safari and we’ll have pc-nic lunch. Once reached the entry of the Park you will have time to climb to the panoramic point near Naabi Gate where you will able to take a wonderful photo-memory. The photo-safari will continue in Serengeti and we’ll reach the lodge or the Tent-Camp for dinner. The Serengeti is the most famous park in Tanzania, known in all over the world for his boundless lowlands, the migration of the wildebeests, the prides of lions and the other raiders as hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, jackals and crocodiles. The ‘Serengeti’ words means “Endless Plain”. Really: the name couldn’t be more appropriate.
Day 7 – Serengeti National Park
This day will entirely be dedicated to the visit of endless lowlands of the Serengeti park, where we can meet wild predators as leopards, cheetahs and lions, but also the great herbivores for instance the wildebeests. The National Park of the Serengeti is one of the principal attractions of the whole Africa.
Day 8 – From Serengeti National Park to Natron Lake
We will greet the Park of the Serengeti with a last photo-safari going towards the Lake Natron. During the trip we’ll stop in various panoramic points from which you can see the Rift Valley, Oldonyo Lengai, the lake and the surrounding panorama. If it will advance some time we could make a trekking to a water-fall, where we’ll be able to have refreshing bath.
Day 9 – Lake Natron
This day we’ll wait the sunrise on the banks of the Lake Natron, where we’ll see the flamingos and we’ll enjoy the gaze of an unique panorama, quietly. In proximity of the lake, the ground is slippery and muddy.It will be necessary to pay attention. So worry about your shoes! The day continues and, after breakfast, we’ll proceed for a trekking-session and then we’ll have another bath under the fall and to see a gaiser. Finished this small excursion, a guide will accompany us near a Maasai village to observe the culture of the place, closely.
Day 10 – Arusha
The safari in Tanzania is ended, but before the coming back to the airport you will be able to spend some time in the city for some shopping.
